Roberta was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Volonino. She is survived by her companion of 40 years, Wendy Roth of Seminole, FL; her son, Ryan Esposito of Seminole, FL; her grandchildren, Caitlin and Ethan Esposito of Seminole, FL and Ruby Albertson-Esposito of St. Petersburg, FL; her aunts, Marie Flynn and Delores Manzione of Seminole, FL; her uncle, Tommy Manfre of Land O’ Lakes, FL; her godchild, MaryAnn Flagor of Pensacola, FL; and many nieces, nephews and cousins along with many dear friends in the St. Petersburg, FL area.
Roberta was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 17, 1941. She moved from Brooklyn to Seminole, FL in 1972.
Roberta most recently worked for Wallace Welch & Willingham in St. Petersburg, FL as a Commercial Accounts Representative and retired from there after working for 45 years in the commercial insurance industry.
Roberta loved making people laugh. She also loved music, dancing, traveling, reading, animals, and spending time with family and friends. Roberta will be remembered for her loving and giving spirit, loyal friendship, helping so many people, her exceptional sense of humor, for making the best lasagna in town and for her legendary Christmas Eve parties.
Visitation will take place Friday, November 17th, between 6-8pm at Serenity Funeral Home in Largo, FL, (727-562-2080) with funeral services to be held at the same location on Saturday, November 18th, at 1pm, with burial to follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
