He was born on November 11, 1938 in Ezel, Kentucky, to Sue Parks Davis and Homer Clayton Davis.
Phil graduated from Ohio State University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) also from Ohio State in 1964. Post graduation he immediately joined United States Air Force, as a Captain in the Dental Corp on Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. That same year, he was married to Deanna Davis on December 19th.
Phil and Dee lived on several Air Force bases in the early years of their marriage and then settled in Bowling Green, Ohio. Phil practiced dentistry for 12 years and in 1978, after a massive blizzard, he decided it was time to move to a warmer climate and change careers.
Phil bought a RV park in Largo and began a new adventure managing over 170 residents in two parks over the next 40 years.
Phil loved to be outdoors and traveled with his family extensively. Most memorable was a trip from Florida to Alaska in an RV with the entire family and his in-laws!
He is survived by Deanna, his wife of 60 years, and his children, Michelle Davis Middleton and her husband, John and their children, Kathryn (28) and Griffin (27), Phillip Keith Davis and his wife, Amanda and their daughter Jannah (4), and James Brett Davis and his wife Erika and their children Annika (15), Alden (13) and Nora (6).
