Raun, Marilyn L., of Largo, FL, passed away on August 18, 2022. Marilyn was born in Portland, NY, on December 12, 1931, to Parker and Elsie (Storms) Tubbs and graduated from Brocton Central High School. On July 15, 1952, she married Alan N. Raun at the Portland Congregational Church.
Marilyn was an active member of the Brocton/Portland Jaycees Organization, Eastern Stars, and her church. In 1970, she and her family moved to Largo, FL.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping and traveling with her family. She and her husband loved to travel and visited many places in the U.S. and the world.
A few of her hobbies included sewing, knitting, reading, working with stained glass, flower arranging, growing orchids, interior decorating, and antique collecting. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Setting a beautiful table and entertaining family and friends brought her great joy. Her presence will be missed by those who loved her.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Parker and Elsie Tubbs, her brother, Gerald (Vera) Tubbs, and grandson, Kyle Pratt. She leaves behind her husband of 71 years Alan, her daughters Cheryl Pratt of Crystal River, FL, Linda (John) Carroll of Largo, FL, Grandchildren, Brady (Brittany) Pratt, Shaun (Angelina) Carroll, Laura (Nicholas) Carroll-Sartino, Great-Grandchildren, Adeline, Maggie and Brooks Pratt, Emery, and Jack Carroll, and Baby Sartino, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, August 27, 11:00 am at Anona Methodist Church, Largo, FL, where she was a member. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest a donation to Suncoast Hospice, Attention: Foundation, In Memory of Marilyn Raun, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
