Lauren Kathleen Fleming, age 28, of Treasure Island, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 13, 2019. After a year and a half battle with her addiction, Lauren is finally at peace and with the Lord.
She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 19, 1990 and she was a true Moonchild. After graduating from Heritage High School in 2009, she moved to St. Petersburg to join her sister. Because of her love of people and her energy, she was drawn to retail- but her real love was selling cars. She took great pride in being a top producer as a female in a predominantly male profession, consistently out-selling all her male counterparts. Companies such as Park Auto Mall, Paul Blanco’s Good Car Company, Dayton Andrews of St. Petersburg, Maher Chevrolet and Dayton Andrews of Clearwater were lucky to have her passion, charisma and determination on their team.
Lauren loved music, concerts, ice cream, late-night Target runs, good food, healing crystals, anything cheetah print, her cell phone, snowboarding, photography – especially her selfies, road trips, getting together with her friends- and she never turned down a party. Lauren loved being a girl and all the girly primping that goes along with it. She loved her family, but her greatest love was her four year old son, Silas. Their connection was like no other and their love for each other was evident by anyone witnessing it. Lauren loved to spoil Silas with clothes, toys, Slurpee’s and everything else he didn’t need. Lauren had no fear and rules didn’t apply to her, and she was not afraid to give you her opinion. We will miss her sense of humor, her un-matched wit, her laugh, her beautiful smile, her big hugs & kisses, her spontaneity, her love of life and adventures, her ice-blue eyes, her ability to make friends with everyone, the way her energy and presence lit up every room, her generous compliments and of course her sarcasm.
Lauren is survived by her true love and soul mate- her son, Silas James Fleming; her parents, Mark & Kathy Fleming; her sister, Brittney Taylor; her brother, Parker Fleming and his fiancé Tessa Smith; her nieces, Peyton and Blaise Taylor; her grandparents, Jim & Mary Lou Fleming and Norm & Shirlee Pruitt; and many, many other friends and family.
A visitation will take place on Sunday January 20, 2019 from 12-1pm with a service at 1pm at Serenity Funeral Home. Donations may be made in her honor to Operation Par (Parental Awareness & Responsibility) for those who don’t have insurance and are battling addiction like Lauren did.
