Frank Michael Oliver passed away on July 19, 2022 at the age of 82. Frank was born on June 5, 1940 to Frank and Erma Oliver in Oil City, PA. He was the oldest of four children. Both grandparents came to the United States from Italy and he was very proud of his Italian heritage. Frank always had many stories about growing up in Oil City with his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
His Catholic Faith was very important to Frank throughout his life. As a young boy he served as an altar boy and participated in many aspects as he continued his life's journey.
He graduated from St. Joseph High School and attended Gannon University and University of Miami in Florida. He was a financial planner in Pinellas County for 50 years. He loved the financial business and helping people with their investments.
Frank was very involved with cars at an early age working in a garage with his brother, Dave. He enjoyed a variety of cars in his lifetime. Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Tesla. He belonged to the club for each of these and was on the Audi Club Board for the State of Florida.
He was also a wonderful cook. He was happiest when he was preparing a meal or cooking on one of his two grills. He loved entertaining family and friends at our home or out at a restaurant. On holidays he enjoyed hosting family and any friends who were alone for the holidays. We would often drive to Sarasota, Tampa and Plant City for a meal. He loved going to Mazzaro's Italian Market, the fruit stand and Publix to gather his favorite ingredients.
Frank was generous with his time, always willing to help anyone. Whether it was mentoring beginners in the financial planning field, helping a widow who needed items for her home or advising someone who was purchasing a new car. He was always there to help and enjoyed being of service to others.
He served as President of the Quail Ridge HO for twelve years until the day he died. He conducted meetings and solved problems in the neighborhood. He helped beautify Quail Ridge with new street lights, new speed signs and new landscaping.
Frank loved, supported and cared for his children, Tony, Molly and David. In later years we celebrated marriages, David & Lea, Molly & Wylie and Tony & Amy. We were thrilled with birth of two grandchildren, Remy and Stella. Frank was able to spend time with his grandchildren this May.
As a husband, he was loving, caring and patient. We will miss his smile, sense of humor and thoughtful ways.
He was my Groom and I was his Bride.
