Dona Ray a resident of Cypress Palms, Largo, FL passed away at Suncoast Hospice on January 24, 2024. She was born in Louisville, KY in 1930. She graduated from Somerset High School in Somerset, PA and was a member of Anona United Methodist Church in Largo. She worked in unemployment quality assurance for the state of KY until retirement. She was devoted to her family, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and loved crafts of all kinds. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Edward Cawthra and Marie Bash Cawthra, and her husband William H. Ray. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah and Pamela (husband John), and her son, Michael (wife Dianna); two grandsons, Justin (wife Katie) and Ben (wife Annette); and five great-grandchildren, Haley, Lucas, Megan, Lyndon, and Hazel and a cousin in southwest PA. The funeral service will take place 10:15 AM Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Anona Methodist chapel. She will be interred in Serenity Memorial Gardens in Largo.
