Diane graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and went on to have a fulfilling career, most notably as a movie booker at the Tampa Theater. She married Casey Eberly on April 1st, a union that was marked by love and partnership.
Above all, Diane’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica (Jon) and Caitlin (Mikey); her beloved brother, Doug (Kathy) Howe; and her nephews, Dennis and Daryl. Diane's deep affection for her family was matched only by her love for her animals, especially her cats, Charlie, Sal and Roxie; and her dog, Bella.
Diane had a wide range of passions, including gardening, photography, and watching movies of all genres. She found joy in laughter yoga, cherished talking with her friends, and lived life with an infectious and somewhat vicious sense of humor. Her strength of character was remarkable—she was strong-willed, passionate, and unwavering in her beliefs, especially her love for the environment.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by all. Diane's friends, many of whom she considered family, were an integral part of her life and will forever remember her kindness, wit, and love.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Serenity Funeral Home Largo; 13401 Indian Rocks Road Largo, FL on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at 2:00pm - 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Diane’s memory to WMNF or Free Speech TV.
