Anthony R Mazzone

Anthony R. Mazzone (87) of Largo, FL, born Oct. 17th 1927 in Everett, MA, passed away on Dec. 29. 2014, at 8 am after a brief illness. He is survived by the following family members: his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Barbato); his children - Jean Ann Mazzone of Salem, NH and Largo, FL; Robert and Elizabeth Mazzone of Bedford, MA; and Charles Mazzone of Largo, FL; his granddaughter, Danielle Rapson of Nashua, NH; his sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Robert Baylis of Poway, CA; and his 3 nephews and their families. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Eugene and Rose (Covino) Mazzone, of Everett and Watertown, MA, and his brother, Eugene Mazzone, of Somerville, MA and Sunland, CA.

He was an avid volunteer, serving the following organizations: the Planning Board in Bedford, MA; the School Committee for Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational High School in Billerica, MA; the Knights of Columbus in Burlington, MA; the Rotary Club in Burlington, MA and Bellair Bluffs, FL, and the Marines Corp League Det. #054 in Clearwater, FL.

He retired as a plant engineer from RCA in Needham, Marlboro and Burlington, MA 28 years ago. A funeral mass will be 11:00am Monday Jan 5th at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 2-4pm Sunday Jan 4th at Serenity Funeral Home, Largo.
