peacefully passed away at the age of 80 at Suncoast Hospice.
He was the beloved son of the late Catherine & Samuel Sirrianna. Loved and adored by his wife Mary Ann together 59 wonderful years of marriage.
He was a loving father to his three daughters Faith Marie Roberts(Rob), Lisa Marie Sockol, Angela Marie Piazza
(Steven), Brother James Sirrianna (Carol) and beloved late sister Caroline Tallini, Brother-n-law Anthony Tallini,nine grandchildren,Gregory, Aubrey, Michael,Spencer, David, Sammy, Andrew, Sienna, Sophia. Great grandson Ethan along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was born in Rochester, NY, attended Aquinas Institute where he was taught by Basilian Fathers. He then went to Simmons Mortuary College in Syracuse, NY.
He began his work career in management for Woolworth with stores in Jacksonville, Ocala, Miami and
Orlando. While working in Orlando, he took a marketing job at Walt Disney World. That led to jobs as
Marketing director at Busch Gardens, The 1982 World's Fair and the New Orleans World Exposition.
Upon returning to Florida, He was hired as manager of Tyrone Square Mall. He also managed the first
renovation of the St. Petersburg Pier, and served on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army for many years and St. Vincent DePaul. He was the Business Manager at St. Jude Cathedral and during that time David became ordained as a Deacon. He ended his working career as business Manager at St. Matthews church in Seminole where he oversaw extensive renovations. He has been a Deacon for over 25 years, the last nine years he served at Sacred Heart Church in Pinellas Park. Deacon David touched the lives of many. He performed many baptisms, marriage counseling, and weddings along with funerals and burial services. His homilies were messages of Faith, love and humor. He loved going to NY state to visit family and retreats at the Abbey of Genesee. He loved his family, his ministry, and our local sport teams. He had a genuine love of people. He will be greatly missed, He did well!
A viewing and gathering of friends and family will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd.,Largo, FL on Monday April 18 from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be held at 6:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7809 46th St. N. Pinellas Park, FL on Tuesday April 19 at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave N. Clearwater FL, 33760 immediately following service.
