Winifred graduated from Lansing’s Eastern High School in 1953. She worked on the General Motors Assembly Line and as a repair driver for 36 years. She enjoyed softball, square dancing, Pow-Wows and bowling. Winifred was a spitfire. She was a Brownie Leader and she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved watching dirt bike races at Grattan Raceway Park in Belding and cheering for her beloved MSU Spartans and Dallas Cowboys.
Winifred and her former husband, Leo, had nine children, Deborah Jackson of St. Louis, MI, Peggy Vliek (Dave) of Rosebush, MI, Brenda Brouder (Tim) of Shepherd, MI, Vicki Jackson of Lansing, MI, Leo Jackson, Jr. of Lansing, MI, Sheri Jackson of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and Harry Jackson of Lansing, MI; 26 grandkids, 68 great-grandkids and 12 great-great-grandkids; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucy Jackson; son, John Jackson; grandchildren, Fredrick Jackson, Kimberly Jackson, and Nate Jackson; sisters, Corky Frankovich of Lansing, MI and Arlene Mixon of Lexington, NC; brother, Harry Everett, Jr. of Eatonville, WA.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
