Age 91 our loving father, husband, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Sunday, November 08, 2009 at his home. To his grandchildren he was like a father and always there for them. Skip was a retired electrician from Hayes Electric and served in the Army as a Paratrooper in WWII. He was a P.O.W. in Germany For Eighteen Months and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 701. Skip is preceded in death by his son David. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Evelyne; daughters Therese Mandrelle of Jackson and Dorothy (Kip) Barker of Haslett; daughter-in-law Sandy Smith ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing, officiated by Fr. Klein. Interment will take place at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at St. John?s Cemetery in Jackson, MI. Visitation will be from 6 ? 8 Tuesday at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing.
