Walter Scott Davis

Walter Scott Davis, aged 61, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on April 6, 2024. He was born in Beaverton, Michigan, on September 20, 1962, to his late parents Celina and Donald Davis Sr. Walter was known for his dedication to his craft as a skilled professional painter, a trade that he pursued with passion and excellence throughout his life.

A man who found solace in the great outdoors, Walter's love for fishing was well-known among his family and friends. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by nature, with a fishing rod in hand, or in the company of his beloved grandchildren, with whom he shared his love for life's simpler pleasures.

Walter was a cherished member of his community, often engaging with neighbors and strangers alike at local garage sales, demonstrating his keen eye for unique finds and bargains. His friendly demeanor and the joy he took in exploring the roads and keeping the streets hot. He was no stranger to just showing up wherever his loved ones were.

He leaves behind his brother, Donald Davis Jr. (Christine), his children, Brooke Davis and Cody Escareño (Kristina), and his friend, Melissa Escareño. Walter was a proud grandfather, but Papa Walt to the his grandchildren, to Mario, Isabella, Dallis, Axl, and Luciano, and many nieces and nephews. His love and guidance will be greatly missed by them all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Lonnie Davis.

Walter's life was a testament to the value of family, friendship, and the pursuit of one's passions. His passing is a loss to all who had the fortune to know him. He will be laid to rest at Midland Memorial Gardens. Fish on!
