Robert Floyd Ranger

Robert (Bob) Floyd Ranger, age 84, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Robert was a Master Hypnotherapist and healer. He loved his spiritual community and family unconditionally and dedicated his life to helping others.

Robert was born to John & Arietta May (Hutton) Ranger and grew up in Flint, Michigan. Bob graduated with honors from Michigan State University and worked as an economist for the State of Michigan. Later he followed his dream and established the Transformational Hypnotherapy Institute in Lansing, Michigan educating many across the United States.

Robert is survived by his son Tony and daughter in law Yazmin; his loving grandchildren Triston, Samantha, and Anthony; his brother Doug; and his twenty-year-long companion, Rose.

One of Bob’s favorite prayers that he turned to for betterment of self and for others is Effective Prayer created by Jim Goure. Jim founded the United Research group and was Bob’s mentor and his rock in his earlier days.

I release all of my past, negatives, fears, human relationships, inner self, future, human desires, and judging to the Light.

I am a Light being. I radiate the Light from my Light center throughout my being.

I radiate the Light from my Light center to everyone.

I radiate the Light from my Light center to everything.

I am in a bubble of Light and only Light can come to me and only Light can be here.

Thank you God for everything, for everyone, and for me.

Anyone who knows Bob remembers him singing, "The Gayatri" in his beautiful angelic voice. This was absolutely his favorite mantra.

Bob sang, "Om Bhuh, Om Bhuvah, Om Suvah, Om Mahah, Om Janah, Om Tapah, Om Satyam, Om Tat Savitur varenyam. Bhargo devasya dhimahi, Dhiyo yo nah prachodayat."

This mantra has many translations, here is a general one, “O Divine mother, may your pure divine light illuminates all realms; physical, mental, and spiritual of our being. Please expel any darkness from our hearts and bestow upon us the true knowledge.”

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 13th at 1 PM at Coral Gables, located at 2838 East Grand River Ave. East Lansing, MI 48823.
