Bob made a living for over 17 years at Lindell Drop Forge as a hammer man and union chairman then on to several other factory jobs when they closed. He retired from Johnson Controls (JCIM) in 2017 promptly on his 65th birthday. Bob spent his free time fishing, feeding his birds and squirrels, spending time at the family lake house. He loved taking the kids tubing on the lake and taking leisurely rides in the pontoon. He was a member of the local Moose Lodge in Harrison and enjoyed volunteering at many different events.
Some of his happiest times were spent with his great grandchildren and family. As much time as possible was spent at the cabin tinkering around the grounds and finding projects to do. He loved listening to his music, working on model trains and diecast cars.
He will be remembered for his work ethic, his love and his knowledge.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Friday March 1st 2024 at 11am at Eden United Brethren in Mason, Michigan with a visitation an hour prior. A luncheon will be served immediately following the Celebration of Life.
