Randall L. Brooks, age 71, of Lansing, Michigan passed away at his home surrounded by his children on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 19, 1953 to Ronald and Ellen Brooks and spent his life living with purpose, passion, and an unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and the things he loved.
After graduating from Denver Diesel Auto School in 1972, he began a long and successful career at Capitol Cadillac, where he worked for nearly 30 years. Randall’s commitment was evident, and he was known for his honesty, dependability, and the care he put into every task.
Outside of work, Randall enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, and attending car shows and swap meets. A true enthusiast of both motorsports and sports in general, he had a lifelong love for football, NASCAR, and, most notably, the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions.
Randall’s qualities went far beyond his hobbies. He was a loving, caring, and funny man who made an impact on everyone he met. He was the kind of person who could always be counted on—a true friend, a devoted family member, and a hardworking individual who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His adventurous spirit and strong work ethic made him someone who could always be relied upon.
Three words sum up Randall’s life: unparalleled, passionate, and purposeful. He lived every day with intention and vigor, always making the most of every moment. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Randall is survived by his children: Regan Brooks, Lindsay (Jason) Adams and Crystal (Fernando) Navarro; grandchildren: Chandler, Kendall, Brenna, Lauren, Luke and Ava; and siblings: Lynne Houlihan, Beth Brooks, Kent Brooks, John Brooks and Andrew Brooks.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan for their kind and compassionate care.
