Michael C. Fildey, 68, went to his heavenly home on August 27th following a battle with cancer. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Ellen, and his brother Geoffrey.
Michael was born in Lansing, MI and attended Eastern High School where he played the trombone in the marching band. Michael graduated from the James Madison school of Political Science at MSU and went to work at Capital Federal Savings Bank where he stayed for twenty-six years. Following his career in banking, Michael went to work for the State of Michigan where he remained until his death.
Michael was a lifelong member of Faith Church in Lansing and loved singing in the church choir. He was a deep bass and his favorite pastime was singing, especially with the MSU Choral Society whose performances he looked forward to each season.
Michael is survived by his daughter Kristen (David), his beloved grandchildren Evie and Liam, his brothers David (Debbie) and Steven and his nieces and nephews. He is also especially grateful for the help provided by his ex-wife Denise during his last years.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the MSU Choral Society.
