Marguerite Davis Wilcox passed away December 11, 2015 at the age of 98. She was born in Charlesworth, Michigan on June 2, 1917 as the third of eight children of Alta (Oberlin) and Frank Morris. Marguerite loved to stay busy and was very active into her 90’s. She enjoyed spending her winters in Florida. Most of all, she cherished her family, and she was also dearly loved by all, whether as wife, mom, grandma, GG, sister, aunt or friend. She will be truly missed. Marguerite was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd “Dave” Davis; second husband, Quinten Wilcox; brothers, Donald, Milford, Byron and Irvin Morris; sisters, Edna Burns and Mary Ellen Strayer. She is survived by her daughters, June (Robert) Handloser and Nancy (Thomas) Ernsberger; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, sister, Irene (Gordon) Stafford and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Quinten’s children, Lorna Imhoff, Gary (Sally) Wilcox and their families, all of whom she loved and treasured. The family is grateful to the staff at Grandhaven Living Center for their loving care of Marguerite in the last six months of her life. The quality care and support by the Hometown Home and Health Care Hospice team was also very much appreciated. Private services will be held at a later date.
