Marcus passed away unexpectedly from Covid-19 on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home.
As a long time resident of Lansing, Marcus had many friends that he called family. As a child, he enjoyed fishing with his dad and continued the tradition as an adult with his sons. Every chance Marcus got, he and his brother Arthur would head to the casino. He also enjoyed pranking his sister Shelly.
Being a father is what Marcus enjoyed most. He loved his kids. Marcus was always there when they needed him most..
Marcus is preceded in death by his father Fred Lee Thomas, biological parents, Mathew and Bert’s Kemmer, a brother Michael Angelo Thomas and a sister Amanda Jean Kemmer.
Those left behind to cherish Marcus' memory include his fiancé, Jessica; his eight children, Eric, Marcus, Aubree, Jayden, Marcus Jr, Benjamin and the twins Ava and Isabelle; his beloved mother Waddie Thomas.; 14 siblings, Greg, Nate, Fred, Olivia, Shelly, Arthur, Darrnell, Brandon, Dannielle, Thelma, Michael, Shianne ,Frankie, and Andrea. Also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by father Fred Lee Thomas, biological parents Mathew and Bert’s Kemmer, brother Michael Angelo Thomas and sister Amanda Jean Kemmer.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home's downtown Lansing location. Interment will follow at St Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the funeral Home
