Larry Lewis Bennett Sr., age 83, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. He was born on March 14, 1941, in Lansing to Thomas and Fern Bennett. He retired after over 30 years of service at the Lansing Public Service Department.
Larry is survived by his sons, Larry (Sherry) Bennett, Jr. of Dewitt, Michigan, Thomas (Kendra) Bennett of Dewitt, Michigan, and Scott Campbell of Dayton, Ohio; stepsons, Keith (Sarah) Shirey, Sr. of Holt, Michigan and Roddy (Bridgett) Shirey of Lansing, Michigan; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Larry was an avid Michigan State Football fan as well as a Lion’s fan. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. What Larry really enjoyed, was talking to people. He had the ability to have conversations with anyone anywhere.
A private service will be held at a late date.
