Joe Phillip Stubblefield Sr.

Joe Phillip Stubblefield, 78, of Mason, Michigan, passed away January 15, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 27, 1936 to William and Lola (Phillips) Stubblefield in McKenzie, Tennessee. Joe retired from General Motors after more than 35 years of service. Joe never met a person he didn’t like or wouldn’t help. He was a loving husband and father who treated his family to many memorable trips and outings at the cottage.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; sister, brother-in-law, in-laws, and great-granddaughter.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Marlene; sons, Joe (Therese) Stubblefield Jr., Rick (Linda) Stubblefield, and Phillip (Caryn) Stubblefield; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Terry Stubblefield (Roger Myers, friend); and brother-in-law, Mort (Nancy) McKillop.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and also for an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
