Jerry Heskitt

Jerry was a man of good faith and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in DeWitt for many years. He always loved working with dogs and had a furry companion of his own who was a trained service dog. Together, they serviced various hospitals around the area. Jerry was also a talented woodworker. He would carve out sculptures and trinkets in his free time and gifted them to his friends and family to show his love and appreciation. Nothing meant more to Jerry than his family. He was a hard worker and truly committed to providing a solid foundation for him and his growing family. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be deeply loved and missed by all.

Gerald Carl Heskett was the beloved husband of Marjorie Heskitt (nee Myers); loving father of Pam (Ted) Lautzenheiser, Kirk (Hilary Olson) Heskitt, Mike (Molly) Heskitt and Brian (Tania) Heskitt; cherished grandfather of nine; great grandfather of ten; dear brother of the late Sgt. Floyd Heskitt and Aileen Welton; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior at Hope Lutheran Church, 1180 W Herbison Dr. DeWitt, MI 48820. Interment to follow at DeWitt City Cemetery.
