Elena "Nena" Molina Perez

Elena was born on August 4, 1943 in Nava, Coahuila, Mexico to Julia Martinez and Jose Molina. She married the love of her life, Alfredo Perez, on August 11, 1959 in Nava, Coahuila where the two of them lived until immigrating to Uvalde, Texas in 1974 before moving to Michigan in 1975.

Nena was a devoted and nurturing homemaker, an avid bingo player, and she loved her Spanish telenovelas. She was a very loving, caring, and genuine person who loved everyone that she came into contact with. She will be sorely missed and her memory forever cherished by all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Nena is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Alfredo Perez; daughters, Ramona Aguinága (Julio) and Irma Flores (Ron); twin sons, Baldemar Perez (Marni) and Sergio Perez (Kelly); ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son; and several siblings.

There will be a visitation for Nena on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the rosary prayer at 12:00 PM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48917. There will be a funeral service on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Following the service, Nena will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 W Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906.
