Dwight L. Williams, 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Lansing, Michigan. He was born on May 23, 1959 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Richard Norman Williams and Verlee (Coleman) Williams. Dwight was a longtime employee of General Motors, and in his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing immensely.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dwight Lymone Williams, Jr., and his father, Richard.
He will be lovingly remembered by his former wife and the mother of all five children, Mashell Williams; his three sons, Dominique (Elissa) Williams, Deont’e Williams, Demitrius Williams; one daughter, Latrease Williams; his mother, Verlee; his siblings, Latease Williams, Anquanetta (Larry) Golden, Richard (Beverly) Williams, Jr., Madlyne Williams, Fabian Williams, Rev. Angelo (Lisa) Williams; 12 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held onFriday, November 18, 2016at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 5200 Pleasant Grove Road, Lansing, MI 48911 at 1:00 pm. The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at the church.Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing, Michigan.
