Charles was a Lieutenant with the Army Air Corp during WWII and flew P-51 Mustang reconnaissance missions in the European Theater. He graduated from MSU with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He made his living building homes in Lansing. In 1972 Charles was president of the Greater Lansing Homebuilders Association. He was a lifetime member of the Country Club of Lansing and was president for two years, 1980-1981. He was an avid golfer and shot his age at 68. During his years of golfing he shot four hole-in-one?s. He willed his body to the MSU Medical School.
Preceding Charles in death are his parents, and his sister Gertrude ?Susie? Kuhlman.
Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years Shirley Kuhlman; daughters Christine (Larry) Zweering, Marcia (Dick) McCoy; sons John (Linda) Kuhlman, Tom (Elaine) Kuhlman, Tim (Tina) Kuhlman; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, June 11, 2010, at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, with a one-hour visitation before the service. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
