Anthony attended Harvey High School in Painesville, OH. After leaving Harvey High he enlisted Active Duty Army as a Field Medic on March 9, 1976. Major Jones served in many assignments over the course of his 25 year career. As an enlisted Soldier he enjoyed his time at the United States Property and Fiscal Office, two Aviation Battalions, and the 1st Battalion 182nd Field Artillery. Major Jones received a commission as a Second Lieutenant from the Michigan Military Academy Officer Candidate School in 1989 and was a graduate of Davenport College with a B.A. in Business Management in 1990. Looking back Major Jones often spoke highly of his tenure as a Signal Officer under the command of then Captain Gregory Kuznecoff. Second Lieutenant Jones was intrigued over getting and keeping the new Mobile Subscriber Equipment functional for the State. His time at the 1225th Corp Support Battalion as the Battalion Executive Officer was his greatest joy. He developed many meaningful relationships to include that of the Battalion Commander, Colonel Henry Cason (Ret.) and Master Sergeant Moses Manual (Ret.). Not all of Major Jones assignments nor his many educational accomplishments can be mentioned. He was a proud Soldier, served with honor and distinction, and treasured his military family as much as his own.
Anthony was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He loved his siblings, children, and grandchildren, often seeking opportunities to host gatherings to laugh and spend time with the people he loved most. He was preceded in death by his father Eddie Lee Jones Sr. and Gloris Dee (Jones) King. Anthony leaves behind many memories, life lessons, and lots of love to his family, friends, and comrades in arms.
To cherish his loving memory are three daughters LaToia Shanika and Tonya LaTreice Jones (mother Mary Ann Jones), Gloris Deandra Jones (mother Colonel Mary Katherine Jones (Ret.)). Five grandchildren, Malcolm, Henry, Timothy Jr., and Miyanna Brown, and Jaris McIntosh. Two brothers and one sister, Eddie Lee Jones Jr., Gary Ray Jones, and Jacqueline King. Special cousin Tawana "Jeannie" Baker, two aunts, three uncles, and a host of relatives, friends, and his beloved military family.

Acknowledgement
Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair, Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there, Perhaps you sent a dish, or spoke the kindest of words, or just hugged us. Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day, Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much for whatever the part.
