It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved brother, Paul Erving Tait, on Sunday, April 2, 2023, after bravely battling health issues for many years. Paul was born in Barrhead, AB on August 6, 1965 and grew up primarily in Surrey, BC. Paul’s life was a testament to love, kindness and enduring obstacles.
Paul was known for his rambunctious spirit and unwavering affection for his family. His face lit up every time he saw his grandchildren, and his fondest memories included buying them an ice cream on a warm summer’s day, creating cherished memories to last a lifetime.
Beyond his role as a devoted grandfather, Paul had a passion for music and was a lifelong guitar enthusiast. He found solace in strumming and singing, leaving behind a melodious legacy in the hearts of those who knew him. While he wasn’t able to enjoy the open road in recent years, Paul also had a great fondness for motorcycles, owning a few throughout his life.
Married to his beloved wife, Sandy, for many years, Paul demonstrated a true essence of commitment and devotion. Together they created a special bond that endured until Paul’s last breath.
Paul’s caring nature extended far beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of his many brothers, sisters, extended family members, numerous friends and his cherished children Crystal, Mike, Lisa and Craig.
In honour of Paul’s life, a memorial service will be held at his niece’s home, located at 3628 203A St., Langley, BC on August 5, 2023 at 3pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories and bid a fond farewell.
Paul Erving Tait will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, his beautiful music and his passion for lively debate. He never met an argument he didn’t like. While he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will live on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the songs he sang and the love he shared.
Rest in peace dear Paul. Knowing your legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known you. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
