Toby Sue Hummel, 84, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday August 3, 2024. Toby was born September 17, 1939 in Covington, VA the daughter of the late Robert O. Smith and Mary Avis Patton Smith. Toby retired from Anchor Hocking with 35 years, she enjoyed going home to Virginia for visits with friends and family reunions, and she loved spending time with her dog Shellie. Toby enjoyed working with her flower garden, cooking and baking. Toby is survived by her daughter, Lindy (Brad) Judy, son Kurt (LuAnn) Hummel, granddaughter, Ashlea Hummel and great grandchildren, Rayden and Aubrey, Beloved dog Shellie.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry of 48 years, parents, sister, Carolyn Ann and infant brother.
Friends and family may call 1-2 PM Thursday August 8, 2024 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster at 2:30 PM Thursday.
