Paul A. Scholl, 91 of Lancaster, passed away Friday November 16, 2012 at Homestead Nursing Home. He was born on April 8, 1921 in Lancaster to the late William and Florence Scholl. Paul was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #57 Past Master, York Rite, Scottish Rite, U.C.T. and Shrine Club. He served in the US Navy during WWII and retired from Diamond Power Electronics. Paul loved playing bridge, golfing, fishing and camping. He truly loved making people laugh and smile.
Survived by his son, Tim (Barb) Scholl of Lancaster, grandchildren, Moriah (Jason) Ice of Strongsville and Kelsey Scholl of Blacklick, great grandson, Vance Ice of Strongsville; niece, Patsy Martin of Lancaster, nephews, Tom (Mary) Martin of Florida, Bill (Donna) Martin of Lancaster and Todd (Beth) Edwards of Pennsylvania; several great and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Loyce Scholl, daughter, JoEllen “Josie”Scholl, sister, Ruth Bryson and sister-in-law, Dorothy Short.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Rev. Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory to Lancaster Masonic Lodge #57.
