Mary Alice Quiggle

Mary A. Quiggle, 99, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Pataskala Oaks Care Center in Pataskala, Ohio. Mary was born on February 1, 1925 in Warren, PA, daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Fulton Mangini. She was married to Merrill M. Quiggle on October 23, 1943 in Warren, PA. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2001.

Mary enjoyed family get togethers, she loved her family and they always came first. She enjoyed collecting cardinal figurines, working crossword puzzles, watching movies, Wheel of Fortune, but most of all enjoyed walking in the woods, picnicking and enjoying God’s creation with her beloved husband Merrill.

Mary is survived by son, Martin Quiggle of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Lori (Quiggle) Beard of Pataskala, OH; son-in-law’s, James Wuertzer of Lancaster, OH, Jim Beard of Pataskala, OH; three grandsons, Andrew (Cathy) Wuertzer of Pataskala, OH, Michael (Janet) Wuertzer of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Daniel (Melanie) Wuertzer of Laurel, MD; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; along with special family friends, Paul DeGarmo, and George and Tammy Lauer.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl A. Wuertzer; three brothers, Fay, Gail and Robert Mangini, and two sisters, Helen Ewing, and Joan Rathburn.

A very special thanks to all of the staff/caretakers at Pataskala Oaks Care Center and Suncrest Hospice.

A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be conducted for family and friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 1PM at HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Friends and family may visit from 12:30PM until the time of the services. Inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncrest Hospice (7965 N High St Suite 100, Columbus, OH 43235) in memory of Mary.
