Lavera K Lutz

Lavera K. Lutz, 90, of Lancaster passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville, Ohio. Lavera was born in Lancaster, Ohio on February 12, 1934 to the late Harold Rutter Sr. and Anna Rutter. She was a longtime employee of Fairfield Medical Center. She enjoyed dressing up as Mrs. Claus at Christmas time for the children. Lavera never knew a stranger and was known for her spunky personality and wit.

Lavera is survived by her son, Kevin (Lynne) Lutz; grandchildren, David Lutz, Heather Lutz (Mike), Jordan (Rose) Lutz, Jenna (James) Stevens, and Jessica Lutz; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Dusty Rhoades, Kari Martin, Carter and Finn Stevens, Phoenix Williams and Jeffrey Lutz; special niece and nephew, Debbie and Jay Joslyn, as well as many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lutz; first husband, Dale Engle; her parents; step-mother, Margaret Rutter and her brothers, Harold Rutter Jr., William Rutter, and Thomas Rutter.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Brown Memorial Home and Heartland Hospice for their loving care of Lavera.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 1PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Burial is to follow at Forest Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM on Thursday.
