Charles “Jim” Bailey, 94, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 at Heartland of Fairfield. Jim was born February 12th, 1922, in Marietta, Ohio to the late Walter C. and Mary E. Bailey. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and was a devoted Buckeye football fan. Jim served his country in the US Army Air Corp in World War II. He retired from Anchor Hocking as the Advertising Production Manager. He was also known as an award winning water color artist in the state of Ohio.
Jim is survived by his life-long companion, Donna Noice; daughter, Barbara (Bailey) Bash; son, David W. (Andrea) Bailey; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor R. (Yohe); and sister, Maxine Siegfried.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 19th, 2016 at 6PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dennis Coll officiating. Friends may call from 4-6PM at the funeral home.
