Barbara J. Coulter (Zimmerman), 86, of Lancaster, OH. died September 22, 2022. “Barb” Coulter, daughter of the late George and Isabelle Zimmerman, loving wife of David A. Coulter, passed away peacefully at Buckeye Care and Rehab in Lancaster surrounded by her family. She is survived by her two sisters; Diana (Tom) Guisinger and Rita Zimmerman (both of Lancaster, Ohio) and her two children; daughter Lesley (Jeff) Jirles of Cambridge, Ohio and her son Vance (Laura) Coulter of Sunbury, Ohio. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband David. Barb was a graduate of Lancaster High School (Lancaster, OH) class of 1953. Barb was a homemaker, floral designer, avid sports fan, and Lancaster’s best cook! Barb was known for her love of Big Ten basketball, arts and crafts and talent as a designer. She and her husband Dave enjoyed exhibiting their crafts at various seasonal arts and crafts shows around central Ohio. Barb’s favorite hobbies were birdwatching, studying her Bible and making others feel welcome and well-fed in her home. Barb truly exhibited God’s gift of blessing others in her family and community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Viewing will begin at 1:00 pm followed by 2:00 pm service on Wednesday, September 28th at Fairfield Christian Church (chapel) 1965 North Columbus St. Lancaster, OH.
