July 19th, 1938 - August 2nd, 2016. Born in Wynn, Pennsylvania, passed away in Lancaster, California. Shirley married Earl Hicks on January 1st, 1957 in Fairchance, Pennsylvania. They moved to Lancaster, California in 1972. She devoted her life to raising her children and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, James and Naomi Jacobs, her siblings; Dorothy, Genevieve, Bud, William, Arthur and Thelma. She is survived by husband Earl Hicks Sr, her children Earl Hicks Jr (Barbara), David Hicks (Denise), Jennifer Anderson (Alan). Her grandchildren: Scott, Brett, Trevor, Crystal, Jennifer, Laura, Becky and their spouses; great-grandchildren: Grace, Evan, Collin, Jaxson, Andrew, Annabell, Kason, Lilly, Charlotte, Alyssa and Hunter. Siblings of Shirley: Elizabeth, Don, Kenneth and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, August 10th, 2016 at 10:00 am at Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary, Lancaster.
