Larry Dee Bell

Larry Dee Bell was born on September 27, 1950, in Oakland, CA. He was the second twin of an identical twin brother. Terry Lee Bell, to the proud parents of Willie Bell and Amie Lee Armstrong-Bell, who proceeded him in death. Larry was the fifth of nine children. He attended Peres Elementary School, Roosevelt Middle School and graduated from Richmond High School.

He attended Davis Chapel CME Church faithfully with his grandmother Velma Skillen. There he attended Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and was water baptized. He accepted The Lord at an early age. Larry was employed at K-MART as a manager in the Garden Shop. While working there, he met Patricia Newman and they became friends. After some time, they were engaged and a married on June 26, 1976, celebrating 45 years of marriage. Furthermore, to this union, they added five beautiful daughters.

Larry labored at various jobs to support his family, including Chevron Oil Refinery working as a construction worker for many years. In 1997, Larry moved his family to Lancaster, CA, which was adjustment for the entire family. Eventually, he became fond of the new location and made many friends with his charisma and pleasant demeanor. One night, Larry woke-up and said, "Pat, someone keeps calling my name, but no one is there." Pat replied, "The next time it happens, respond with yes, Lord, because that's who is trying to get your attention. "He began to break down and cry saying, "yes, Lord." He repented of his sins.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory: His wife Patricia Ann Newman-Bell, his daughters Annunciata Lafaye Bell-Scott and her Husband Edward Sean Scott Sr of Victorville, CA, Matrishica Anne Bell of Jacksonville, FL, Rakeshia Lashaun Bell and Anne-Marie Elizabeth Bell of Lancaster, CA, nine grandchildren: Annuncia, Eboni, Shania, Edward Jr. Kiara, Ajah, Joseph, Kingston, Johr'dan, two brothers Thomas Roark and Carey Bell, one sister Phyllis Odom and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Larry is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Rashaun Lynette Bell, his brothers John White, identical Twin brother Terry Lee Bell, Ricky Bell and two sisters Patricia Lafaye Bell, Yvonne Cherise Bell, and his only uncle Luther Armstrong.
