A long time resident of Palmdale, passed away peacefully on November 12, in her home surrounded by family. Born in 1939 in Torrence, California, she lived in Van Nuys before relocating to Palmdale. Ellen graduated from A.V. High School in 1957.
Enriched by her Italian and German upbringing, she mastered many culinary and horticultural skills. Her garden and dinners were admired by many.
In keeping busy with her three young sons, she involved herself as Scout Den mother and bowling coach with the A.V. Junior Bowling Association.
Ellen loved her pets, bowling and socializing at the American Legion and Elks Lodge. Crocheting became her passion and she was never far from a basket of skeins and hooks. Ellen is preceded in death by her husband Bob, son Rod.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Phyllis) and Randy Casper Daughter-in-law, Dawn Casper, Brother Allen (Millie) Shultz. Grandchildren Richard (Patrick), Krystle, Wade, Travis Casper and Russell Pearlman. Great Grandchildren Van, Eva and Nolan.
