Was just remembering the blessing of Central Christian church under Pastor Dave, and the place my brother attended shortly after giving his life to Christ from about 1986-1988. It was while attending here, he was called into pastoral ministry himself. By Gods grace, my brother is still preaching the good news of salvation, through faith in Christ, and discipling others as they follow Him today. Praising God for the Prather family, and looking forward to the days when we will all be together again in heaven with our loved ones who are in Christ. I was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing, but rejoicing that he is in Heaven enjoying his reward there.  My husband, Troy Thompson, was on staff at Central in 1988.  We spent four years at Central and were discipled during that time by Dave and Linda.  Their influence in our lives has had such a positive impact over the years.  We can honestly say we owe our thirty-six years of marriage, having raised three children and now with all of them married and with four grandsons between them, to Dave's wise and consistent counsel and example. So sorry to hear today about Dave’s passing.  So many good memories during college and as ministry colleagues.  So many bad jokes exchanged through the years.  My heart goes out to Linda, Rhonda, Matthew and all your family.  Lots of reunions in heaven with the Lord and Dave’s loved ones who welcomed him.

Central Christin Church was the first Church I attended the ladies Bible study when the Church was on Pillsbury St. in Lancaster. I  felt so welcome there. and  I learned so much. Today  in my devotion I  read this vs. Corinth 9:12-13 Because of the service by what you have proved yourselves others will praise God. Praise God you had a Heart for service. Alida Molloy

My wife Lisa and I were part of the Central Christian Church in the time that it moved from the cedar street location. Dave helped us to build a Godly Christian life and we are saddened, but at the same time, over joyed that he has passed the final test and is with Our Father…. Blessing to his family, and to all that considered him as a brother in our Lord.
