Barbara Ann Clark

Age 83, of Quartz Hill passed away at home on Sept. 13, 2014. Barbara was born in Herrin, Ill., on Jan.2, 1931 to Hubert and Katherine Harris. Barbara graduated form Herrin high School,then attended nursing school,she left nursiing school and moved back t Herrin, Ill.,where she met the love of her life, Jack Clark at the county fair. She and Jack were married at United Methodist Church in Herrin, Ill., on Dec. 24, 1950. After Jack's U.S. Navy service,the happy young couple moved to Canoga Park Calif., and made their home for many years. Barbara and Jack were members of the Reseda Baptist Church and met many lifetime friends there. In 1993 Barbara and Jack moved to Quartz Hill to be closer to their children. They joined Lancaster Baptist Church and met many more beloved friends there. Barbara is survived by her sister, Jane;daughter, Debbie and son-in-law, Pat;grandchildren, Jolene, Charla, Michelle, Vanessa, Deanna, and Lukas; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Isaiah, Cienna, Sahara, Severin, Dominic, Aurora and Cole, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and had many beautiful and fragrant flowers growing in her yard. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack, son David and brother Jim. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 pm Friday , Sept. 20, 2014 at Joshua Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at Lancaster Baptist Church with graveside service to follow at Joshua Memorial Park , Lancaster California.
