John Paul Scholz, age 84, of Manchester, New Jersey passed away on Thursday January 11, 2018 at the Armed Services Retirement Home in Washington, DC. John was born September 13, 1933 in Newark, New Jersey. He was a former resident of Manchester, before recently moving to Washington, DC. John was a retired US Army Communications Officer.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Angie and his son John F. Scholz; John is survived by; niece, Jenny Lee; nephew, Byong Kun Cho; niece, Jyung Ae Cho; niece, Jo Nugent, grand-nephew, Wesley Cho; grand-niece, Jeannie Jump and a grand-nephew Paul Lee.
Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
