Dorothy "Sister" Keane

Dorothy "Sister" Keane, age 98, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Friday January 3, 2020. Dorothy was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. She moved to Deming, NM for many years before settling in Lakewood, NJ for the past 25 years. Dorothy worked for many years as a secretary for St. Francis Community Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. Mrs. Keane was a communicant of St. Mary of the Lake Church. She loved to ballroom dance and was an avid painter. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.

Mrs. Keane is predeceased by her husband, Edward and grandson, Roger.

She is survived by her children Roger McCreesh and Bernardine Gilliotti and her husband Larry, granddaughters, Kelli Ann and Lauren and great grandchildren, Marissa, Matthew and Kaitlyn.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 4-8PM at the D'Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 10:30AM at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood, NJ. Entombment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery.
