Stella Loretta Rizzi

Stella Loretta Janiski Rizzi passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 14, 2020. She is survived by her two daughters; Anna-Marie Saggau and her husband Ken, Elizabeth Marie Muhsmann and her husband Landon, Step-daughter Michelle Rizzi and her partner, John and Step-daughter Lisa Rizzi. 6 grandchildren; William Saggau and his wife Lindsay, Dan McClure and his wife Erin, Molly Hancock and her husband Stephen, Christine Zollinger and her husband Aaron, Ben Saggau and his wife Christy, Emily Jarvis and her husband Jon and Anthony Morehouse. Stella is also survived by her greatest joy, her great grandchildren; Avery, Stella, Corrie, Kennedy, Hadley, Gage, Shepherd, Everett, Asher, Carmalena, Rosie and expectant great grandbaby #12 (parents to be Ben and Christy Saggau).

Stella enjoyed spending time with her family, especially lunches with her grandchildren. She enjoyed life and talking to everyone she met whether it was in the grocery store, the bank, the Dr’s office or the local restaurants. She took the time to get to know them and always remembered their life stories. She was an avid gardener with the most exceptional flowers on display every season – she had a true green thumb and passed that on to her daughter Anna-Marie.

Stella was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. She came to Colorado in 1970. Stella also leaves behind 13 nieces and nephews all reside in Baltimore. Even though many miles separated Stella from her Baltimore family, she kept in touch with them and continued to touch their lives.

Stella was a bigger than life presence in her family’s life and will be greatly missed. She is now at peace and reunited with her late husband Michele Rizzi and in God’s hands. Rest in peace sweet Mom, Grandma and GGMa.
