Scott was born on November 5th, 1963, to a burgeoning family, number six in line of what would become eight, to Peter and Frankie Gardner in Lakewood. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Patty. He is survived by his siblings: David Gardner, Katey Mayo, Molly Gardner, Jill Persichetti, Tom Gardner, Amy Terry and Tracy Gardner, and his darling daughter, Shelby Gardner.
Scotty is also survived by his former wife, Susan. Susan and her three sons Dylan, Jordan and Nolan joined Scott and daughter Shelby to create a new lively family in the aughts and teens, enriching Scotty’s extended family as well.
He attended Lakewood High School and Warren Tech. At Warren Tech he studied horticulture where he developed a lifelong love of all things arboreal. After leaving school he jumped straight into doing/working mode – a mode he lived in for life. After various work experiences, including an influential time under the tutelage of Jerry Morris of Rocky Mountain Tree Experts, he started his own company, Colorado Turf and Tree, in his twenties. He developed a loyal customer and employee base that formed a significant piece of his world.
He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, employees and customers.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.advantagerunyan-stevenson.com for the Gardner family.
