Christine Tuchscherer, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024, in Englewood, Colorado, at the age of 97. Born on October 13, 1926, in Yugoslavia to Michael and Amelia Lehr, Christine was one of three daughters in her family.
In 1949, Christine married the love of her life, Josef Tuchscherer, in Bavaria, Germany. Together, they embarked on a journey that led them to America in 1959, settling ultimately in Arvada, Colorado. Their son Ewald was a testament to their enduring love and commitment.
Christine was a woman of many talents and found great joy in her career as a personal chef, a role she embraced from June 1970 until shortly before her passing. Known for her impeccable style and elegance, Christine took pride in her appearance, ensuring her hair was beautifully done every Saturday, a routine she cherished until the end.
Christine is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Amelia Lehr, her sisters Katie and Maria, and her beloved husband Josef. She is survived by her devoted son Ewald (Kittie), cherished granddaughter Libby (Dustin), grandson RJ (Dana), and her adored great-grandchildren Vivienne, Roxanne, and Eddie.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Thursday, July 25th, from 9:30 to 10:00 AM, followed by a rosary at 10:00 AM and a funeral mass at 10:30 AM, all to be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Denver. Christine will be laid to rest at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge at noon, with a reception to follow.
Christine will be remembered for her warmth, grace, and dedication to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and culinary artistry that will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
