She was born on April 27, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, to Dorolea and Elmer Book and
was a lifelong resident of the state. She earned her Associate's Degree of Applied
Sciences in the area of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology from the Community College
of Denver in 1984 and went on to work as a radiologic technologist, a radiology
instructor, a radiology equipment consultant, and later, as an insurance producer.
Beverly attended Highlands Lutheran Church in Denver, Colorado, and was an active
member of a book club and a Saturday lunch club consisting of her beloved former coworkers.
She was an avid coffee drinker, shopper, and theatergoer and enjoyed
supporting her two children and husband in everything they did, visiting the Rocky
Mountains to view the aspen trees, cheering on the Denver Broncos (especially the "tight
ends"), and spending time drinking peach margaritas with good friends.
She is survived by Doug, her husband of thirty-nine years; her daughter, Kristen, a
teacher in Irvine, California; her son, Jim, a choral conductor in Boulder, Colorado; and
numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews.
A private burial will take place for Beverly at Olinger Mount Lindo Cemetery in
Morrison, Colorado (5928 S. Turkey Creek Road, Morrison, CO 80465).
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 23,
2016, at Highlands Lutheran Church in Denver, Colorado (3995 Irving Street, Denver,
CO 80211). Guests are asked to wear something purple, Beverly's favorite color.
Contributions in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, the
Bienvenidos Food Bank, or the Denver Rescue Mission.
