Anna Gangl, a beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully in Colorado on October 17, 2024. Born in what is now Serbia, Anna spent her early years in Yugoslavia, where her vibrant spirit and big heart began to shine. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her love for her family knew no bounds.
Her children cherish the memories of joyful moments spent at her side, where her infectious energy and creativity turned every task into an adventure. Though petite in stature, Anna's strength and fearlessness were remarkable; she faced every challenge head-on, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. A true animal lover, she found great joy in the company of her many beloved dogs throughout her life.
A true music lover, Anna's passion for opera was evident in her beautiful soprano voice. On every birthday, she delighted family members with her unique operatic rendition of "Happy Birthday". Her talent graced many weddings and local venues, including numerous midnight masses and the Red Slipper Inn.
In her later years, Anna found joy in traveling to Black Hawk with her beloved husband, Joe, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond during their 72 years of marriage. She is survived by Joe; her three sons, Rich, Steve, and Mike (married to Janice); her grandson, Josh; and her beloved sister, Vicky Quirico. Anna was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Pete, Nick, and Joe.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 3-5PM at Advantage Runyan Stevenson in Lakewood.
