He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jaye Marquez; daughters, Sharon Martinez and Stephanie Marquez; grandson, Kyle Marquez; parents, Fernando and Leocadia Marquez; Siblings, Charlie, Fred and Caroline Marquez; and Sisters in Law, Stella (Corky) Ortega, Kris Santistevan, Elvira (Vera) Josue and Emily Lucero.
He is survived by his children, Gina Sanchez, Kevin Marquez (Lorelei), Christy Marquez (Cesar Varela), Donna Martinez, and Therese Welch; Grandchildren, Philip (Wendy) Martinez, Christopher Marquez (Marchelle), Marcus (Kimberly) Bueno, Shay Sanchez (Amanda), Cydnie Sanchez (Jheannie Kaup-Castro), Amanda Martinez, Charlie Pratt, Kristina Martinez (Isaac), Ethan and Rileigh Marquez de Varela, Jon Welch; Great Grandchildren, Justice, Jakobie, Ava, Madison, Deihlan, Lyla, Marleejaye, Jeriah, Orion, L.J., Arianna, Aria, Xavier, Gahbriella, Lilly, Eugene, Ruby, Ezekial, Alexis; Sister-in-law: Pearl Marquez (Fred Marquez deceased); and numerous stepsisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Al will have a recitation of the Holy Rosary on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 7:15PM at All Saints Catholic Church in Denver. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur at All Saints Catholic Church on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10am. Al will be laid to rest at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 12PM. A reception will follow.
