Rita M. Moran, age 84, of Briarcliff, Texas, formerly of Danbury, CT, died Monday, July 1, 2013, peacefully in her home. She was the wife of the late Dr. James H. Moran, to whom she was married for 43 years before his passing in 1991.
Rita was born April 23, 1929, in Spokane, Washington, daughter to the late Joseph and Edda Laundry. She graduated from Catholic High School and attended Nursing School. Rita was an avid music lover and sang frequently for her church and social events. Her love of music followed her through life and was greatly appreciated by family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
Rita is survived by her two daughters, Rev. Kathie Lounsbury and her husband, Dr. Tom Lounsbury; Patricia Gaydos and her husband, Dennis Gaydos. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis Chapel, 411 Ranch Road 620 South in Lakeway.
