Born in Covington, KY on July 24, 1948 to Viva Dee and Harry Walters. Charles “Pa” McCullough (step father) entered her life at an early age. She graduated from Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY in 1966.
Linda met Norman Roberts while vacationing in south Florida after her graduation. Shortly after going back home to KY, she returned to the love of her life in Florida where her and Norman married on December 26, 1966.
They moved to Lantana in the summer of 1972 where Norman worked as a math teacher and they raised their two children, Jennifer and Christopher.
Linda loved to laugh, visit Florida’s beaches, listen to country music, and drink coffee. She always had a fresh pot brewing.
Linda was known to her family and friends as tough but extremely compassionate. Linda had the gift of making anyone feel at ease in the toughest of times. Her warm smile was contagious, her love was unconditional, and her sweet tea was a neighborhood staple. Linda was a resilient fighter who battled years of health hardships, but she never complained or gave up.
She is survived by her loving husband Norman, her children: Christopher and Jennifer; grandchildren: Hannah and Philip Heckendorn, Jacob and Mallory Roberts; half-sister, Kimberly Rue and half-brother, Charles McCullough. Linda is pre-deceased by: her sister Carolyn Ross and her half-brother Harry "Butch" Walters. Many more loving family and friends.
To know Linda, was to love Linda. She will be tremendously missed by her family and friends, but never forgotten. To celebrate Linda’s life, please wear something blue on the day of the service for it was her favorite color. May her footprints in the sand continue for eternity. We love you.
