Johnnie Cook Morgan

Johnnie Adell Cook Morgan of West Palm Beach, Florida, went to be with her Lord on Thursday September 26, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born on December 22, 1927 in West Palm Beach, Florida where she grew up in the early years of the city. She graduated from Palm Beach High School in 1945. She worked for Anthony’s Ladies Clothing Stores as a buyer for 44 years and traveled extensively to New York, Atlanta and other cities on buying trips.

Johnnie was a long-time member of Northwood Baptist Church, Village Baptist, Palm Springs Baptist and most recently Family Church in West Palm Beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence And Alice Cook, brothers Harold C. ‘Bud’ Cook and Donald K Cook. Johnnie is survived by her sons Gary W.Morgan (Sherry), Dr. Joel C Morgan(Linda), and five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Johnnie enjoyed traveling especially to Maui, Hawaii and North Carolina to visit her grandchildren and her beloved dachshunds.

The family would like to thank Meridian assisted living in Lantana Florida and Trustbridge Hospice of West Palm Beach for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Gathering of Family and Friends beginning at 10am. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home 3041 Kirk Rd. Lake Worth, Florida on Saturday October 19, 2024. There will be a reception immediately following at the funeral home.
