Connie departed this world on August 18, 2014. Connie was the beloved widow of George, devoted mother of James (Pamela) Ingersoll, Joan Ingersoll, and (Neil) Jane Nugent. She was very proud of her six grandchildren, Lance, (Dennis) Deborah Ingersoll Cole, James (Susan) Ingersoll, Keith (Courtney) Ingersoll, Patrick (Allison) Nugent and Michael (Helen) Nugent. She also leaves six great grandchildren, Courtney and Brooks Ingersoll, Ouinn, Owen, Anna, and Elena Nugent.
She loved the Lord and has now joined him in heaven. Her faith in God’s grace and Jesus Christ was evident in her life. She volunteered at Our Savior Lutheran Church and School in many capacities from library aide to school board member during her sixty years as a member. She is still remembered for her twenty-five years of volunteering in the ER at JFK. Her many Lake Worth community activities were recognized by the Exchange Club with the Golden Deeds Award. Her enjoyment of working with the Chamber of Commerce was manifested by volunteering at the street painting, the fairs at Bryant Park and the Chamber’s breakfast meetings.
The family wishes to thank Arbor Oaks Assisting Living for her five years as a resident and the care they gave Mother. We also wish to thank Hospice for her end of life care.
A memorial celebration will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 23rd.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Connie’s memory.
Arrangements under the direction of Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, Lake Worth, FL.
