Cheryl E. Roy, 54, of Lake Worth passed away peacefully August 9, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County, surrounded by her loving family. Cheryl loved the beach, sand between her toes, shells, sunrises and sunsets - a true Florida girl at heart. Her beautiful smile, positive outlook on life, and willingness to help others will not be forgotten. Cheryl is survived by her husband of 35 wonderful years, Michael, their children Kristine (Christian) Duran, and son, John Roy, a grandson, Shea Kopp, her parents, George "Captain Al" (Patricia) Ellison, and Lois (William) Morgan, sister Debbie Roy, her niece Nicole Roy, and her brother-in-law Denis Roy, sister-in-law Johanne (John Koterba) McGinnis, niece Monique (Bradley) Evans, nephew Christopher McGinnis, father-in-law Conrad (Jeannine Meunier) Roy. Cheryl's life will be celebrated, at Dorsey - E. Earl Smith Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2:00pm.
